People frequently ask me who I recommend for home remodeling contractors.  Although I’m usually somewhat hesitant to reply, I’ve decided to begin recommend companies using Google reviews.  This is the way I choose who to do business with.  It usually steers me in the right direction.  I’m rarely disappointed.  Here’s who I’d recommend when it comes to home improvement and home remodeling contractors.  This is based on Google’s star rating.  You can always check on your own by using Google Maps since this information is constantly being updated.  I’ve chosen them based on the quantity of reviews and the star rating.

If you’re up to general contracting your own home remodeling, the above contractors are a good place to begin.  Ask lots of questions and check reviews and references.  If you’d like to hire a general contractor, that’s okay too.  Keep in mind that general contractors usually are looking for the cheapest price from the sub contractors they hire so this may diminish the quality of the installation.  When you choose who to hire for each step of the project, you get more control over the quality and get direct access to the sub contractor.  There’s less of a chance for communication to get lost along the way.
